This week, PGA Tour golfers teed off at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship, a 72-hole stroke-play event with a cutline after 36 holes. Following the first two rounds on Friday, October 4, only those who made the cut will advance to compete in the final two rounds over the weekend. However, some notable names, including Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson, missed the cut.

#1 Patrick Rodgers
Patrick Rodgers began with a solid opening round of 68 but faltered in the second round. Despite three birdies, he carded three bogeys in the second round for an even-par finish.
His total score of 4-under left him missing the cut by just two strokes.
#2 Zach Johnson
Zach Johnson missed the cut by four strokes after playing two rounds. He shot a 70 in the first round, followed by a 72, finishing with a total score of 2-under par.
Johnson started his campaign on the first tee, recording three birdies and one bogey on the front nine, followed by two birdies and a double bogey on the back nine, to score 2-under in the opening round.
In the second round, Johnson made a birdie, followed by two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine. He made another birdie and a bogey on the back nine to finish even par. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and he missed the cut.
#3 Matt Kuchar
Matt Kuchar began his campaign with a round of 2-under 70. Starting on the first tee, he parred the opening hole but bogeyed the second. However, he quickly rebounded with a birdie on the third hole.
Kuchar recorded four birdies and two bogeys for a round of 2-under 70 in the first round. In the second round, he carded four birdies, one bogey, and a double bogey for an even-par 72.
With a total score of 2-under, Kuchar also missed the cut.
#4 Harris English
Harris English also finished with an even-par total and missed the cut by six strokes. The American golfer struggled throughout both rounds of the Sanderson Farms Championship.
English recorded just one birdie in the opening round, shooting a 71. In the second round, he made two birdies but also carded three bogeys for a 1-over 73, failing to make the cut.
#5 Peter Malnati
Peter Malnati kicked off his 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship on the 10th hole, starting with a par, followed by birdies on the 11th and 12th holes.
Malnati enjoyed a strong start, posting a bogey-free round with four birdies for a score of 68. However, he struggled in the second round. Despite one birdie on the front nine, he recorded a bogey and later a quadruple bogey on the 16th hole, ending the day with a score of 4-over.
With an even-par total, Malnati missed the cut by six strokes.
