The TGL League is a tech-based league that will have its inaugural events in 2025 and the league has 6 teams in total with each team consisting of 4 golfers. The League’s first event will be on January 7 between the New York Golf Club and the Bay Golf Club at the SoFi Centre at Palm Beaches, Florida.
The League was supposed to be inaugurated in 2024, but the dates were postponed by a year due to an unprecedented situation at the venue. A power outage at the SoFi Center led to the collapse of the venue. But after a year of work, the league is ready to tee off on Tuesday and there is an array of celebrated golfers who'll play in the tech-based league. Here's a look at 5 top-tier golfers:

#1. Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods has the highest number of professional golf tournament triumphs among the TGL League golfers. He has won 82 PGA Tour events and 15 majors. His last major win was in 2019 at the Masters Tournament.
In 2024, Woods appeared in only 5 events, including the Genesis Invitational, where he withdrew due to flu-like symptoms. He only finished 72 holes at Augusta National in 2024 to land at T60 and had missed cutlines in three other majors, including the Open Championship.
#2. Rory McIlroy
Rory McIlroy has 26 PGA Tour wins and four major triumphs, making him the second-most decorated golfer in the TGL League. His last major win came in 2022 at the Masters Tournament.
In 2024, McIlroy had only one win on the PGA Tour at the Wells Fargo Championship. He had five more top-10 finishes, including a T2 at the US Open and a T3 at the Valero Texas Open.
