With just three tournaments remaining on the 2024 DP World Tour calendar, the attention of the golfing world has turned to the circuit's rankings. The so called Race to Dubai will determine, among other things, the 10 players who will qualify for the PGA Tour next season.

Although the season is not yet over, at least five players are already assured of playing on the American-based circuit in 2025. These players cannot be ousted even if they do not have the best finishes in the remaining tournaments.

Let's see who they are.

The Race to Dubai is the DP World Tour's internal ranking. All players who make the cut in the tournaments throughout the season are awarded points based on their finish.

The majors and the top five European Tour events (the latter collectively known as the Rolex Series) are the deciding factors because they award the most points.

These are the five players who have secured their PGA Tour card:

#1 Thriston Lawrence

The South African is on the brink of a historic season in 2024, with just one win needed. He has previously finished second five times, including once in a Rolex Series event (the BMW PGA Championship), where he earned 654.5 points.

Lawrence's other notable finish was a tie for fourth at The Open Championship. Not only was this the best finish of his career in a major championship, but it also earned him 500 Race to Dubai points.

With three tournaments left, Lawrence leads the group of players trying to earn their PGA Tour cards in 2025, with 2,959.94 points.

#2 Rasmus Hojgaard

Rasmus Hojgaard has consolidated his position in the Race to Dubai over the past two months, thanks in large part to his victory at the Irish Open and his fourth-place finish at the Andalucia Masters. The Dane scored 835 and 231 points respectively in these two events.

The other big boost to his position in the Race to Dubai came earlier in the season when he finished second at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. There he scored 334 points.

#3 Matteo Manassero

Matteo Manassero won the Jonsson Worwear Open in March, earning 500 points and a privileged position in the DP World Tour rankings. He then added 312 points courtesy of a third place at the Irish Open and 339.7 points thanks to a fourth place at the BMW PGA Championship.

With 2,066.01 points, the Italian can celebrate his PGA Tour card for the 2025 season in advance.

#4 Niklas Norgaard

Niklas Norgaard entered the list of players with a chance to earn his PGA Tour card by winning the British Masters (835 points). He then consolidated his position, mainly, with a seventh-place finish at the BMW PGA Championship, which earned him 206.1 points.

The Dane has 2,023.07 points for the season with three tournaments remaining. That puts him almost 500 points ahead of Tom McKibbin, who is currently closing the list of players vying for a PGA Tour card. This significant gap means Norgaard has virtually qualified.

#5 Jesper Svensson

Jesper Svensson has been in the Race To Dubai top 10 for virtually the entire DP World Tour season, as he made the list in December 2023 courtesy of a runner-up finish at the South African Open Championship.

Since then, the Swede has managed to maintain his privileged position, with his victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic playing a key role.

Svensson has finished outside the top 25 in every tournament he has played over the past two months, but with 1,977.34 points, he is highly unlikely to be displaced in the race for the PGA Tour card.
