Hayden Springer recently shot a 59 at the 2024 John Deere Classic, becoming the 14th golfer on the PGA Tour to score a sub-60 round. Over the years, Jim Furyk recorded the lowest round on the PGA Tour, a 58 at the 2016 Travelers Championship.
Ryo Ishikawa also shot a 58 on the Japan Golf Tour in 2010. Rhein Gibson scored a 55 in 2012 at River Oaks Golf Club, the officially recorded lowest round in golf history. Despite many top-ranked golfers achieving sub-60 rounds, legendary golfers such as Tiger Woods have never scored under 60 in their careers.

Tiger Woods has never officially recorded a sub-60 round in his career. His best on the PGA Tour is 61, which he achieved at the 1999 GTE Byron Nelson Invitational, the 2000 WGC-NEC Invitational, the 2005 Buick Open, and the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. He did score a 60 at the 2000 World Golf Championships-EMC World Cup, an unofficial event. However, he did not score sub-60 in official events.

Rory McIlroy is another top-ranked golfer who has not scored a sub-60 round in his career so far. One of his lowest rounds in professional play was an 11-under 61 at the 2015 Wells Fargo Championship.
#3 Jack Nicklaus

Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus holds several records in the history of golf, including winning 18 majors, the most in the sport. However, he did not score a sub-60 round in official events. He won over 100 professional events in his career.
Nicklaus has won 73 PGA Tour events, the third most in the circuit's history. He has also won nine events on the European Tour and ten on the PGA Tour Champions.

Spanish veteran Seve Ballesteros also never scored a sub-60 round in his career. He was one of the top-ranked golfers in the world, winning 90 professional tournaments, including 50 on the European Tour, the highest of all time on that circuit. He also won nine PGA Tour events.
