Karandeep Kochhar
In November 2016, the 17 year old became the youngest player and also the only Indian amateur to win on the PGTI when he shot an eight par round to total 14 under for the week and win the PGTI Players Championship.
He is again under the wing of Jesse Grewal and has Sagar Diwan as his fitness coach. The golfer has worked hard on his fitness in the last couple of seasons and has seen the results out on the course.
Buoyed by his win on the PGTI, he went on to win the All India Amateur Championship, defeating Delhi’s Arjun Prasad at The Royal Calcutta Golf Club. He also won the IGU Eastern India tournament in 2016 at the venue of his PGTI Players Championship victory, Tollygunge Golf Club.
Karandeep idolises Jeev Milkha Singh and has big dreams of becoming a global golfer and winning on the big tours. The Chandigarh golfer’s name will be appearing a lot more often on the leaderboards of the PGTI tournaments in 2017.
