Arjun Prasad
Arjun Prasad has been the guy to look out for the last couple of seasons now. He won the the 2015 Eastern India Juniors which kick started a series of wins for him. He went on to win the 10th Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Shenzhen, China where he shot a brilliant final round of six-under par – 66 to complete a remarakable come from behind victory.
Arjun Prasad also featured in the final of the All India amateur Championship in 2016 where he finished second to another 17 year old prodigy, Karandeep Kochhar. He used his previous experience of playing in an Asain Tour event courtesy of his win in the Faldo series and went on to make the cut at the European tour event of the Hero Indian Open in 2016.
The 17 year old who trains at Army Golf course, Delhi capped his season off briliantly by doing the unexpected. He secured full playing rights on the Asian Tour for 2017 by advancing through the first stage and then tying for 11th in the final stage in Thailand. He became the youngest Indian to achieve the feat and is destined for a bright future.
