
Professional golfer Aaron Wise was born in Cape Town, South Africa, on June 21, 1996. He went to Santiago High School in Corona, California; his family moved to the U.S. in 1999–2000.
He graduated from high school in 2014 and went to the University of Oregon, where he won the NCAA team and individual titles in 2016 and soon enough turned professional. In his rookie season, he won his first professional victory on the PGA Tour of Canada, the 2016 Syncrude Oil Country Championship, by a margin of five strokes.
Wise played his 2017 season on the Web.com Tour and won the 2017 Air Capital Classic, his second professional victory, defeating Beau Hossler by a margin of five strokes. This win earned him a PGA Tour card for the 2018 season.
After winning two victories on two separate tours, his first PGA Tour victory came at the 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson, which was his 18th start on the Tour. He defeated Marc Leishman by a margin of three strokes, with a total score of 261, under 23. He also won the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Award in 2018.
Following the three aforementioned professional wins, he had other top-10 and runner-up results but no wins in the following seasons. Aaron Wise withdrew from the 2023 Masters Tournament one week prior to its start in March.
Unfortunately, he left the game shortly afterwards in June, claiming mental health issues at the time. However, it now seems that the golfer may soon be making a comeback to the circuit, but a date has not been revealed.
