Adam Hadwin, a professional golfer from Canada, was born on November 2, 1987. As of April 2024, he competes on the PGA Tour after previously playing on the Canadian and Web.com Tours.
Hadwin was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and currently resides in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He grew up playing golf at the Ledgeview Golf Club, where he became friends with another exceptional young player, Nick Taylor.
In 1979, Gerry, his father, became a professional golfer and joined the Canadian PGA. In 2008, Hadwin became a member of the Canadian men's amateur RCGA team. Furthermore, he was granted a golf scholarship to study at the University of Louisville, where in 2009 he was recognized as an All-America Honorable Mention.
He turned professional in 2009, winning his first professional event at the Gateway Tour's Desert Winter Sponsorship event, followed by the Vancouver Golf Tour's Ledgeview Open, Golden Ear's Open, Johnston Meier Insurance Open, and RBC Invitational Pro-Am in the same year.
After playing on the Canadian Tour and the Web.com Tour, he finally joined the PGA Tour in 2015, and won his first PGA Tour win and 12th overall at the 2017 Valspar Championship, where he defeated Patrick Cantlay by a single stroke and with a score of 270, under 14.
He nearly won the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, but was defeated by Rickie Fowler, who won with a birdie on the first extra hole, with a score of 264, under 24.

Adam Hadwin’s Driver
Hadwin has been a Callaway staff player for a few years and has recently switched from the Epic Max LS to the Rogue ST line. He uses the Triple Diamond LS version, as do many other Tour pros. It is a worthy successor to the original Rogue and Mavrik models, giving great levels of stability and consistency while keeping a competitive distance. The entire appearance is more premium, and the performance will appeal to a wide spectrum of player types.
Adam Hadwin’s Fairways
Hadwin hits a Callaway Epic Speed fairway, but the loft has yet to be confirmed because it appears to be a Tour prototype. However, the wear marks on the club indicate that it is certainly a favourite.
Hadwin also carries a Callaway Apex UW hybrid with 19 degrees of loft, indicating that he prefers to use this hybrid over another fairway wood in his bag. The club is currently making its way into the bags of several players, and it's easy to see why. Phil Mickelson was involved in its development and, along with other Callaway employees, advocated for a "go-to" club that better players could rely on from the tee.
Adam Hadwin’s Irons
On to the irons, Hadwin has two different types in his bag. His four-iron is a Callaway Apex UT, and he has a set of Callaway Apex TCBs from five-iron to pitching wedge. He was wearing Apex MBs until recently, so he plainly wants a little more forgiveness, which the TCBs surely provide. The thin topline, small sole, and quality smooth finish quickly indicate tour-inspired shaping. The hitting experience is equally satisfying. The sensation is sharp and firm off the face, with a slight thud sound adding to the softness.
Adam Hadwin’s Wedges
Hadwin carries three Callaway Jaws Mack Daddy 5 wedges, which are believed to be 52, 56, and 60 degrees. The Jaws MD5 wedges are made of 8620 mild carbon steel, and its Center of Gravity (CG) is carefully situated to give a delicate, crisp feel. The design of the wedge has also received a lot of attention, with Roger Cleveland leveraging his 25 years of experience to create a profile that looks good from any angle.
Adam Hadwin’s Putter
Hadwin’s last club in the bag is an Odyssey White Hot OG #7 with the new red Stroke Lab shaft. The iconic insert is featured in the White Hot OG line of putters, but Odyssey brought it into the twenty-first century by using urethane. This means that the old insert's original feel and sound have been preserved.
Adam Hadwin’s Golf Ball
The Callaway Chrome Soft X is Hadwin's golf ball. The design of the X model differs from that of the Chrome Soft. Instead of a dual-core, it has two mantle layers between the core and cover. For players with faster swing rates, the softer inner mantle layer combines with a harder outer mantle to boost ball speed off the face and, thus, overall distance.
