Professional golfer Adam Cole Schenk was born in the United States on January 26, 1992, in Vincennes, Indiana. As a freshman, he won twice while playing college golf at Purdue University.
He turned professional in 2015 and initially played on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, winning his first professional win at the Iowa Open. He began playing on the Web.com Tour in 2016, but won his second professional win at the 2017 Lincoln Land Charity Championship in a four-man playoff, where he won with a birdie on the second extra hole.
By the conclusion of 2017, he had finished 12th in the money list, earning his way on the PGA Tour, but unfortunately, he had one top-10 finish in the entire 2018 season, which led to losing his card.
He regained his card for the 2019 season by finishing in seventh place at the Web.com Tour finals. In order to keep his 2020 card, he had three top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2019 and placed 71st in the FedEx Cup standings.
In October 2021, Schenk led the Shriners Children's Open on the PGA Tour for the first time ever, leading by just one shot; however, he finished tied for third place. His next season wasn't great, as he played in 32 events, missed the cut in 16 of them, plus one withdrawal, and won none.
At the 2023 Valspar Championship, Schenk had a one-stroke lead over Speith and Fleetwood after his second 54-hole round, finishing for a solo second and losing to Taylor Moore. He also nearly won the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge but lost in a playoff to Emiliano Grillo with a birdie on the second extra hole.
As of April 2024, he has played in 11 events, making cuts in eight of them, with his best finish coming at the Valero Texas Open, where he finished tied for fifth place with a score of 279, under 9.

Adam Schenk’s Driver
Schenk currently uses a Ping G430 LST driver, which has a Fujikura Ventus 7-X shaft and 10.5 degrees of loft, instead of his previous Ping G400 and Titleist TSR3. He has also been spotted playing his 9-degree Ping G430 Max, though it's unclear if he alternates between this model and that one.
The Ping G430 LST driver is an outstanding model that excels at striking a balance between distance and consistency. It is a low-spin driver with a broad appeal, matching its all-around performance with its high-tech appearance and strong feel. It is among the top golf drivers for distance on Golf Monthly's list of the best drivers in 2023.
Adam Schenk’s Fairway
Schenk appears to have switched to the more recent Ping G430 Max fairway club from his Ping G425 Max fairway wood. This is his five-wood, with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8-X shaft and 18 degrees of loft.
Due to its strong launch characteristics and versatility, both club golfers and tour pros favor the G430 Max, a long but user-friendly fairway wood. According to Golf Monthly, it's also quite forgiving, making it one of the greatest fairway woods available.
Adam Schenk’s Irons
Schenk also carries a Ping i210 3-iron with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft. He also seems to be able to use a Ping i210 2-iron, which comes with a Fujikura Ventus Black 10 X shaft.
Given that he also uses an outdated set of MP-4 irons, it is clear that he is a player who loves to remain with the club or clubs he likes. Although these may not be on the top list of Mizuno irons, Mizuno is a brand that is well-known for making some of the greatest irons for low handicappers.
Upon closer examination, his irons bear his initials, suggesting that they may hold sentimental value, and the shafts he uses are True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100.
Golf Monthly believes that he alternates between the two sets of irons, since he was also using an old pair of Mizuno MP-18 SC last year, which were also stamped with his initials.
Adam Schenk’s Wedges
Schenk was seen carrying a set of 50, 56, and 60 degree lofted Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges in his bag in April 2024. His initials are also engraved on his wedges, matching his irons.
The Vokey SM10 wedge has seen subtle but significant improvements from the SM9 variant, which Schenk was using in 2023. A 56 degree SM8 Vokey wedge was also being used by him, and it's quite possible that he combined all of these. His SM10s have True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 Tour Issue shafts.
Adam Schenk’s Putter
Schenk's Odyssey White Hot Pro Rossie is in good condition. Clearly, Schenk doesn't think it's necessary to switch models all that frequently. He uses a SuperStroke grip on his putter. When discussing Odyssey, the name Rossie is among the first that springs to mind.
Adam Schenk’s Golf Ball
One of the best premium golf balls available, the Titleist Pro V1, is Schenk's go-to ball. The most recent (2023) model improved consistency over time. Titleist has made a few minor but significant adjustments to the Pro V1 without modifying the features that have made it so well-liked.
Adam Schenk’s Apparel
Schenk walks around in the FootJoy Tour Alpha shoe, which offers great swing support. Golfers looking for the most stability and grip can find FootJoy's flagship performance shoe, which earned five stars in Golf Monthly's testing.
