Alexander Norén, born on July 12, 1982, is a professional golfer from Sweden who competes in both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. He has won ten events on the European Tour, which include the BMW PGA Championship, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, the British Masters, the HNA Open de France, and the Nedbank Golf Challenge. In 2018, he was a member of the successful European Ryder Cup squad.
Norén was born in Stockholm and began playing golf at the age of four at Haninge Golf Club. Despite participating in other sports, he eventually decided to prioritize golf. He won the unofficial Swedish Youth Championship, Föreningsbanken Cup, in his age level as a 14-year-old, scoring 146 over 36 holes at Rya Golf Club.

He had his best PGA Tour finish in nearly two years on July 26, 2020, when he tied for third at the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota, with a 268 (16), three strokes behind winner Michael Thompson. Norén cut at 6 over par with no margin at the 120th U.S. Open on September 17, 2020, at Winged Foot Golf Club in New York. In the third round, he recorded a 3-under 67, the second-lowest round of the day, to move up to 11th place. He finished tied 17th at 8 over par, 14 strokes behind winner Bryson DeChambeau but only six strokes out of third place.
Norén was the first alternate at the 150th Open Championship in July 2022, and after being on-site until Tuesday, he elected to go to California to compete in the Barracuda Championship. He went on to place solo second, one point behind Chez Reavie. He finished tied second at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai in November 2022, moving up to 41st on the Official World Golf Ranking and allowing him to complete the year inside the top 50 on the world rankings and gain an invitation to the 2023 Masters Tournament.
