Amanda Balionis has a charity organization for dogs
Those who follow Amanda Balionis on Instagram know her immense love for dogs. On her Instagram story, Balionis regularly shares images of dogs and even helps them find shelter. However, that's not all. The popular journalist also has a charity organization for dogs.
Puppies and Golf is the name of the charity organization started by Balionis. During an interview with Golf Digest in 2020, Amanda Balionis explained how she got the idea to start a charity organization for dogs. Crediting a friend of hers, she said:
"A friend of mine owns an apparel company called “Puppies Make Me Happy,” and I thought, “Why don’t we do a ‘Puppies and Golf’ shirt?” We’ll have all the proceeds go to K9s for Warriors, so even if I can’t physically be volunteering, it’s still a great way to give back and, more importantly, spread awareness about this national organization."
Balionis said the idea came to her while she was working at Callaway, which also contributed to her charity. She added:
"Callaway also joined the cause, allowing me to take over a hole at “Links at PetCo Park” and created some limited edition wedges that went up for auction. With all of that, we were able to raise over $30,000 and sponsor a dog"
Amanda Balionis' love for dogs can also be gauged through one of her recent Instagram stories. A few days ago, Balionis shared a screenshot of her gallery in which she had 4,758 dog photos.
