American professional golfer Cameron Young was born on May 7, 1997. Along with two top-three performances in major events, he has several other PGA Tour runner-up finishes. He has also won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour and was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for the 2021–2022 season.
Young made an entry into the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and tied for second place at the Genesis Invitational in February 2022. He was chosen to play for the United States in the 2022 Presidents Cup; in the four games he participated in, he won one, tied one, and lost two. He earned the Arnold Palmer Award for PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
In March 2023, Young changed his caddie and hired Paul Tesori, who had previously worked with Webb Simpson. Following defeats by Sam Burns in finals matches six and five, Young placed second in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in their inaugural event together. The following month, at the Masters Tournament, he tied for seventh place.

Cameron Young Amateur Wins
Young qualified for the Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Golf World Cup in 2014 after winning the AJGA Polo Golf Junior Classic. While a freshman at Wake Forest in 2015, he advanced to the second round of the US Amateur before losing to Jon Rahm.
He also won the individual title at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational and the U.S. Collegiate Championship. He made history that year when he won the Ike Stroke Play Championship of the Metropolitan Golf Association as the youngest winner ever and defended his titles in 2016 as well.
