Charl Adriaan Schwartzel, a South African professional golfer, was born on August 31, 1984. He currently competes in the LIV Golf Invitational Series and has also competed on the PGA Tour, European Tour, and Sunshine Tour. He only holds one major victory, the 2011 Masters.

In 2002, at the age of 18, Schwartzel began his career as a professional golfer. Late in that year, he achieved European Tour eligibility. In 2003 and 2004, he made enough money to keep his European Tour card.

Schwartzel defeated Hennie du Plessis by one stroke in June 2022 to claim the title of LIV Golf's inaugural event, the LIV Golf Invitational London. By a margin of fourteen strokes, his team—which included du Plessis, Branden Grace, and Louis Oosthuizen—won the event.
