The 2019 RBC Canadian Open saw American professional golfer Collin Morikawa make his professional debut and finish in fourteenth place. After placing fourth at the 2019 John Deere Classic, he quickly won a spot on the PGA Tour.

The Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for Morikawa is now 6. He presently competes on the PGA and European Tours. He spent three weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking in May 2018.

Among Morikawa's many accomplishments, six PGA Tour and four European Tour wins, including two major tournaments, the 2020 PGA Championship, his first major, and the 2021 Open Championship.

Morikawa was three strokes behind Max Homa in a solo T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open in February 2023. At the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July 2023, Morikawa shot a bogey-free 8-under 64 to tie for the lead after 72 holes. He finished in a tie for second place with Adam Hadwin, falling short of Rickie Fowler's birdie on the opening playoff hole.

Morikawa's 27-month winless streak on the PGA Tour came to an end in October when he finally won the 2023 Zozo Championship against Eric Cole and Beau Hossler by a margin of six strokes.
