The Corales Puntacana Championship, a PGA Tour event hosted in the Dominican Republic, was once a part of the Web.com Tour. The inaugural event took place in 2016 at the Puntacana Resort and Club, located on the province of La Altagracia's east coast.
Matt Wallace won the Corales Puntacana Championship in 2023. He finished with a score of 269, under 19, one stroke ahead of Nicolai Hojgaard. The 2024 event was scheduled to occur at the Puntacana Resort & Club (Corales Golf Course) from April 15 to April 21. Billy Horschel led the event, with a total score of 265, under 23, defeating Wesley Bryan by two strokes.
The event was a Web.com Tour stop for two years until it was transferred to Texas as a PGA Tour alternative event in March 2018, right next to the WGC Match Play. The prize money for the inaugural PGA Tour event held in the Dominican Republic is similar to that of other non-primary events.
The winner receives 300 FedEx Cup points, 24 OWGR points, and a two-year tour exemption, but they are also invited to the Masters Tournament. In 2021, it was granted full FedEx Cup point event status, with the winner receiving an invitation to the Masters Tournament. The first event was postponed until early May 2017 from its original June 2016 date.

Corales Puntacana Championship 2024 Course details
The Corales Golf Course will host the Corales Puntacana Championship. According to the event's official website, Corales is an 18-hole course built by Tom Fazio that opened in 2010. It is a distinctive and spectacular course with six holes that overlook the Caribbean Ocean.
Featuring natural cliffs, bays, ocean cover, and coral quarries, this course is among the best in the world. But the final three holes—the so-called Devil's Elbow—are the best and most exciting. Particularly the 18th hole, which must carry over the Bay of Corales, is particularly thrilling.
