Daniel Berger, an American professional golfer who was absent from the greens for 18 months, made a comeback at the 2024 American Express and finished tied for 39th place. He had to take a hiatus from playing due to a mild bulge in the lower disc and deep bone sensitivity.

Berger was born on April 7, 1993, to former tennis professional Jay Berger, who was world No. 7 in 1990 and a coach. He has four amateur titles, went to Florida State University, turned professional in 2013 and joined the PGA Tour in 2015.

Berger left after not making the cut at the 2022 US Open, mostly due to the injury, though he was then world no. 12. As of June 2024, he is ranked world no. 435 as per the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
