Daniel John Willett, born on October 3, 1987, is a PGA Tour player who won his first major championship at the 2016 Masters Tournament at Augusta National. He began the 2018 season with nine missed cuts and a withdrawal, but improved in the second half of the season, culminating in a victory at the 2018 DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

In 2019, Willett won the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club in England, bringing him into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking. In the 2019-20 PGA Tour season, shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he recorded one top-10 finish. In 2021, he recorded a top 10 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship and hosted the Betfred British Masters at The Belfry. In October, he won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

In 2022, Willett regained PGA Tour privileges after others who joined LIV Golf were removed from the FedEx Cup standings. He started the 2022–23 PGA Tour season at the Fortinet Championship, where he tied for the title with Max Homa.
