Eric James Cole is an American professional golfer. He hails from Delray Beach, Florida, where he plays in the PGA Tour. His parents, Bobby Cole and Laura Baugh, were also professional golfers. Cole was born in 1988, a year after his parents remarried after their divorce when he had six siblings. He grew up around golf as both parents were on tour, and he started playing seriously at eleven.
At age 14, while playing high school golf, Cole became friends with Sam Saunders, Arnold Palmer's grandson. Palmer, too, got to know him, and they played golf together at various home courses, such as Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida and Latrobe Country Club in Pennsylvania. In subsequent times, Cole also caddied for Saunders at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour.
He won 56 times on the Minor League Golf Tour, including the tour championship in 2009 & 2021.
Cole earned his Korn Ferry Tour card in 2017 after playing eight events and making two cuts. His top finish was T39th place. He returned to the Korn Ferry Tour for the 2021 season and made 31 starts.
