Erik Van Rooyen is a professional golfer from South Africa, who was born on 21 February 1990 in Bellville, South Africa to his father Elize Van Rooyen and his mother Wim Van Rooyen. As of 2023 he is 33 years old and resides in Johannesburg, South Africa with his loved ones.

Both of Erik’s parents have been a fundamental pillar in shaping his golf journey. When Erik was just 14 years old, he started playing golf and as an amateur, he earned numerous accomplishments in various golf events including the Southern Cape Open (2011) & Minnesota State Amateur (2012). Van Rooyen became a pro in the year 2013 and won a total of 4 professional wins including 1 PGA Tour 1 Sunshine Tour, 1 Challenge Tour and 1 European Tour. In 2018, Erik earned the title of European Tour Graduate of the Year. He reached his highest ranking of 40 no. place in the Official World Golf Ranking as of 23rd February 2020.

Erik Van Rooyen uses the Callaway Rogue ST Max LS driver of 10.5 degrees loft angle and has a lie of 57 degrees. It is equipped with a Mitsubishi Diamana DF 70 TX shaft, which comes with TX (Tour Extra Stiff) flex and weighs 70 grams. This combination maintains good stability & superior control over greens and offers a very high swing speed with low torque.

  1. This fairway wood is of Callaway brand and Rogue ST LS is the model number of it. Its loft angle is 16.5 degrees with a head volume of 460 cc. This wood is equipped with a Mitsubishi Diamana BF 70 TX. This wood belongs to the LS series which means “low torque” and generates maximum forgiveness, as well as helping to balance between distance and accuracy.

This wedge is paired with a KBS Tour V 120 X shaft. It comes with a classic design and is designed for extreme spin and stopping the ball fast.
