Fortinet Championship 2023 Leaderboard

Unfortunately, the leaderboard is not available yet. It will be out as soon as the tournament starts on September 14 in the 72 par, Silverado Resort and Spa. Even with concerts, wining, dining and all the attractions, the greens of the Silverado Resort and Spa are about to witness major fierce competition from the best golfers around the world.

Last year's winner of the Fortinet Championship was Max Homa. It was a very close competition between Max and England's Willett. This year, will Max Homa take the trophy and prize money home again, or will it be someone else?

Fortinet Championship 2023 Course details

The Silverado Resort and Spa, located in the heart of the wine Country in Northern California, covers a sprawling 1,200 acres and offers a blend of golf, tennis, and spa luxuries.

It derives its name from the nearby Silverado Mine, associated with quicksilver mining near Mount Saint Helena. Notably, this resort stands as the fifth largest employer in Napa County.

For purely statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has selected the area encircling the resort and the golf club as a separate census-designated place of its own, making it stand out from other counties.

Unfortunately, back in October 2017, a portion of the resort suffered damage from wildfires, which occurred shortly after the Safeway Open had concluded. The original 18-hole golf course at Silverado opened 68 years ago in 1955, now known as the North Course. In 1966, it underwent a redesign by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and the South Course was introduced.

The resort boasts an impressive array of amenities, including 16 tennis courts, 10 swimming pools, 280 guest condo hotel units, and private cottage suites. The Napa County resort has over 300 privately owned condominiums located on its grounds.

The course here is not new to any challenges or tournaments being played. Fortinet Open/ Challenge has taken place here. Several PGA Tour events and other tours have been played on the Silverado Resort's greens. The North Course hosted the Kaiser International Open Invitational from 1968 to 1976 and the Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic from 1977 to 1980.

The South Course at Silverado hosted Champions Tour events under various titles, such as Transamerica, Transamerica Senior Golf Championship, and Napa Valley Championship, from 1989 to 2002. The PGA Tour returned to the North Course in October 2014 with the Frys.com Open, which later became the Safeway Open and is now known as the Fortinet Open.
