Grayson Murray, who struggled on the PGA Tour for five years, is now back in contention following his triumph in 2017. The North Carolina native is leading the Sony Open after three rounds, with an eagle and 17 under par. This will be Murray's second win since his debut in 2017. As of March 2024, he has 7 professional victories in his career, with the highest rating of 46 coming from his most recent triumph. Murray turned professional in 2015 and presently competes on the PGA Tour.

In 2017, Grayson Murray showed his exceptional golfing skills on the fields and won his first PGA Tour event against Chad Collins at the Barbasol Championship. But eventually, 2022 was not his year. He was wounded in a scooter collision in Bermuda, requiring 50 stitches on his torso before the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. He had to withdraw from the upcoming tournaments due to this tragedy.

Murray returned with a fresh mind and body in the 2023 season of the Korn Ferry Tour in which he won two tournaments., the Advent Health Championship and the Simmons Bank Open. These wins earned him his second tour card for the PGA Tour season 2024 in which he claimed the second PGA Tour title of his career.
