Grayson Murray, who struggled on the PGA Tour for five years, is now back in contention following his triumph in 2017. The North Carolina native is leading the Sony Open after three rounds, with an eagle and 17 under par. This will be Murray's second win since his debut in 2017. Jay Green, Grayson Murray's caddy, was born on January 29, 1996, into a family living in Georgia. He played tennis, basketball and golf while in high school encouraged by his older brother Brett Green. Green started working as a caddy in 2019. He has teamed up with Spencer Ralston, William Gordon, Kevin Roy, and now Grayson Murray. Green contributed to Murray's Sony Open in Hawaii victory in 2024 which was his PGA Tour first as a caddying. Green was then appointed as Murray's new looper. Despite just playing a few games together, the two appear to have built a strong bond.
