Lydia Ko is a New Zealand-born professional golfer. She was born on April 24, 1997, and at the age of 27, her historic accomplishments have made her well-known worldwide! She became well-known at the age of 17, having become the youngest golfer to ever hold the top spot in the Women's World Golf Rankings. She won as many tournaments and set records in her early amateur career as in her professional career. At age 15, she became the youngest woman to win a major championship on the LPGA Tournament circuit and the youngest winner of a tournament on the LPGA Tour.

She has received a great deal of praise and admiration from those outside of the grounds. In 2016, she received recognition from Time Magazine ESPN and was dubbed a Young New Zealander. She accomplished all of this before turning 20! She also won the New Zealand Order of Merit at the same time! She took home multiple awards and the CME Group Tour Championship in 2022, which helped her hold onto the top rank!
