The conclusion of the 2024 Wyndham Championship has set the stage for the 2024 FedEx Cup playoffs. Last year, Viktor Hovland made a buzz by winning the Tour Championship and there is a lot of anticipation to see who wins this year.

However, before diving into the player details for the 2024 FedEx Cup playoffs, it's important to understand how the format works. The 2024 FedEx Cup playoffs is a series of three events that help in determining the season champion for the PGA Tour.

Here is a breakdown of the three events in question:

#1 FedEx St. Jude Championship

The FedEx St. Jude Championship is the first tournament that features the top 70 players on the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the regular season. These 70 golfers then compete to secure a place in the top 50 and move further in the competition.

#2 BMW Championship

The BMW Championship is the second tournament in the playoffs and it features the top 50 golfers from the FedEx St. Jude Championship. While playing in this tournament, the goal for the golfers is to finish in the top 30.

#3 Tour Championship

The top 30 golfers at the BMW Championship compete to become the Tour Champion. In a 72-hole stroke play tournament like the ones above, the golfer with the lowest score at the end becomes the 2024 Tour Champion.
