Emiliano Grillo has won four professional tournaments so far in his career - he turned professional in 2011 and initially competed on the European Tour before joining the PGA Tour where he secured two victories. Apart from these, he has a win each on the Korn Ferry Tour and the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
Grillo began his career in 2011 by earning his European Tour card through Qualifying School.
Although he did not record any wins on the European Tour, Grillo achieved some notable finishes, including a remarkable 10th-place finish in his debut event at the 2012 Africa Open. His best result on the circuit came in 2014 when he finished as the runner-up at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. He then claimed a title on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica by winning the 2014 Visa Open de Argentina, finishing six strokes ahead of Bradley Hopfinger.
In 2015, Grillo received a sponsor exemption to compete on the PGA Tour. He had performed well enough to qualify for the Web.com Tour Finals (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) where he clinched the 2015 Web.com Tour Championship with a stunning one-stroke victory over Chez Reavie. He finished second on the Finals Money List, securing his PGA Tour card for the following season.
Grillo began playing on the PGA Tour in the 2015-16 season and made an immediate impact by winning his maiden event, the Frys.com Open, in a playoff against Kevin Na. His second PGA Tour victory came in 2023 at the Charles Schwab Challenge where he won another playoff, this time defeating Adam Schenk.
In 2024, Grillo has competed in 20 PGA Tour events, making the cut in 17 of them. He has recorded two top-10 finishes and been impressive throughout the season so far.

The Argentine golfer began with a birdie on the first hole, followed by another on the third. He shot a bogey on the fourth but rebounded with a birdie on the ninth hole. On the back nine, Grillo birdied the tenth hole and added three more on the 14th, 16th and 18th. He also carded a bogey on the 12th hole in the first round.
Grillo's fantastic start has put him in contention to win a medal for his country. Meanwhile, Hideki Matsuyama has delivered an impressive round of 63 to take the lead.
The second round of the Olympics has also begun and at the time of writing, Grillo has recorded a birdie on the third hole, continuing his strong start to the men's golf event at the Olympics which will conclude on Sunday, August 4.
