Scottie Scheffler won't be playing at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship, which is taking place at the Country Club of Jackson. His last participation was at the Presidents Cup, where he contributed to the US team's victory. The US side won against the International side with a score of 18.5-11.5.

Scheffler won three of the five Presidents Cup matches he played in. He won the Thursday fourballs with Russell Henley against Tom Kim and Sungjae Im with 3 & 2. He won the Saturday fourballs with Collin Morikawa against Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith with 2 & 1. On the same day, he won the foursomes with Russell Henley against Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae with 3 & 2.

Earlier this year, Scheffler revealed to the Golfing Gazette that he would take a break after the Presidents Cup.

"I’m playing The Open, the Olympics and then the last three playoff events, then I think I should be on the Presidents Cup team, and then I’ll take a break," Scottie Scheffler said.

Per his previous statements, Scheffler isn't supposed to return to the Hero World Challenge, which he won in 2023. If he doesn't return to Albany, then the golfer's next stop will be at the 2025 Sentry Tournament, which will take place from January 2 to 5 at the Plantation Course of Kapalua.
