Jessica and Nelly Korda spent some quality time together at the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational this week. The event was held to celebrate the heroes of Grant Thornton's Purple Paladin program and saw players of the PGA and LPGA tours unite.
The older sister, Jessica, took to her Instagram platform to share a heartfelt repost of a picture displaying their sister bond. Originally posted by the Grant Thornton Invitational, both Korda sisters were captured smiling during the event. Nelly was spotted wearing a cozy varsity style bomber jacket while Jessica rocked a sleek leather jacket.

The Purple Paladin program is an initative by the Grant Thornton group to recognize and celebrate non-profit social entrepeneurs and their businesses. The group offers financial assistance and mentorship to non-profit start-ups. The event saw leading figures in the sports industry, including fellow LPGA star Mel Reid and PGA Tour superstars Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau and Cameron Champ gather to promote the campaign.

Jessica and Nelly Korda talk about their journey in golf
Jessica and Nelly Korda were born five years apart to former tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova. In an exclusive interview with Golf Digest, the duo talked about their parents' influence on their careers.
Their father, Petr, believed that golf was a sport meant for retirement. After ending his illusterous career, he begain playing the sport more with Jessica in the Czech Republic. In 2005, he spent some time watching professional golfers practice and decided to enroll his oldest daughter into a golf group. Nelly followed her older sister's footsteps a few years later.
When asked what it was like growing up in a household surrounded by world-class athletes, Nelly Korda said (via Golf Digest):
"My brother played hockey. I ice skated, did gymnastics a bit. Jess is five years older, so when she got serious about golf, I started taking lessons. I started getting serious around 6, taking lessons three or four times a week."
Jessica replied, "We were put in a bunch of sports from a young age...I was already out there all day—my parents were watching me practice—so they needed her to do something, too."
The sisters have a younger brother Sebastian who followed their parent's footsteps and pursed a career in tennis as a professional. In the interview, the Kordas revealed that a busy tournament schedule does not come in the way of their bond. They share a group chat aptly named The Trio and chat every single day.
