Lilia Vu’s WITB

Lilia Vu, a professional golfer from California, has been the world's No. 1 golfer in both her amateur and professional careers. She has two major wins at the 2023 Chevron Championship and the 2023 Women's British Open. Further, she has also qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, which is her debut at the event.

Vu was born on October 14, 1997, and has a total of 10 amateur titles and eight professional titles, with the most recent win coming at the 2024 Meijer Classic, defeating Grace Kim and Lexi Thompson in a playoff. This was her first victory following her back injury, which prevented her from competing in the 2024 U.S. Women's Open and Chevron Championship.

Lilia Vu does not use the more modern Stealth 2, but rather the previous Stealth Plus driver. The American is one of the few players still using the original Stealth, and her bag is a special blend of contemporary and older clubs. The Fujikura Ventus TR Blue is her preferred shaft.

Lilia Vu’s Fairways

After using a TaylorMade Stealth three-wood, Vu converted to two Callaway Apex Utility Woods with Fujikura Ventus Blue TR shafts, and she won the 2023 Women's British Open using them to great advantage. It was rated five stars by Golf Monthly, which was impressive with the way it blended hybrid accuracy and fairway wood distance.

Lilia Vu’s Irons

Vu uses a combination set of Srixon irons, combining a Z585 four-iron with a set of ZX7 Mk II that range from a five-iron to an A-wedge. Vu just switched to the newer ZX7 set of irons, having previously used the Z785 set.

Srixon irons are so good that many players who have no equipment deals and may choose whichever clubs they play with have frequently chosen to use them. The quality of their irons is sometimes disregarded, but Brooks Koepka played with Srixon clubs while he was a free agent before eventually signing with the company.

Lilia Vu’s Wedges

Vu has chosen to use 56- and 60-degree versions of the Titleist Vokey SM9 wedges. The progressive center of gravity design has been enhanced to deliver a slightly lower and more consistent flight in the higher lofts for better distance management, while maximum spin and feel remain.

Lilia Vu’s Putter

The Scotty Cameron GoLo 5 Putter is Vu's preferred flat stick, and it's also a staple in the bag of fellow LPGA Tour superstar Lexi Thompson. Her GoLo features a striking pink handle and a blacked-out finish, resembling a mallet.

Lilia Vu’s Golf Ball

Vu plays with the Titleist Pro V1x ball, which is a well-known all-rounder, but Golf Monthly was especially pleased with the longer ball flight, which didn't compromise feel or control in the short game.
