LIV Golf Dallas: Top players, schedule, venue and more explored for the Team Championship decider

The 2024 LIV Golf season is about to conclude, as the final team championship event will begin this week with LIV Golf Dallas. The Maridoe Golf Club, a 7,535 yards par-72 golf course in Dallas, will host this event starting September 20th.

LIV Golf Dallas will feature all 13 teams. The top 3 teams will receive a bye directly to the semi-final, and the remaining 10 teams will compete in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The defending champion Crushers GC is the favorite once again to win the team championship as they head to LIV Golf Dallas with a victory last week at Chicago.

Prominent players such as Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, and Cameron Smith will compete directly on Saturday. Others like Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, and Phil Mickelson will start their campaign on Friday for the LIV Golf Dallas Team Championship.

The fourth-placed team, Smash GC, will get a chance to pick their opponent for the quarterfinals, followed by the next top-ranked teams. The five winning teams will then proceed to the semi-finals, where they will join Crushers GC, Legion XIII, and Ripper GC.

The format of play for the first two days is match play with two singles matches and a foursome match. The team captains can either compete in the singles matches or foursomes.

The four winning teams from the semi-final will then proceed to the finals, where the match-play format switches to stroke play. The stroke play format will remain similar to the season-long stroke play format, where all four scores are considered, and the team with the lowest score will win the 2024 LIV Golf Dallas and Team Championship.

The tee time for all three days at the 2024 LIV Golf Dallas remains the same as the event begins with a shotgun start at 11:15 am.

Jon Rahm won the 2024 LIV Golf individual championship. He carded -11 for the event to win the LIV Golf Chicago event and also finished at the top in the individual championship.

The other golfer in contention Joaquin Niemann finished in second place along with Sergio Garcia at -8.
