The Kingdom’s national championship will be held at the highly acclaimed Thai Country Club in Bangkok and offer a prize fund of US$300,000.
With Asian Tour No. 1 Scott Hend, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Thongchai Jaidee confirmed for the tournament, their presence and participation will ensure a memorable week of golf for fans at the Thai Country Club.
After winning The Yeangder Heritage, Shiv Kapur will be representing India with 13 other contenders. Shiv, who is in fine form, will be carrying his valuable memories of the Thailand Open, which is where he won his first Asian Tour Title way back in 2005.
“I couldn't ask for more. It’s obviously a great feeling to come back to a course which you like and with a recent win in the bag. We have got a very strong field this week, with top local players like Kiradech and Prayad in the field. It’s not going to be an easy challenge although I won two weeks ago. It’s hard to win these days with so many good young players coming up,” Shiv said.
