Ludvig Aberg is one of the newest competitors on the PGA Tour. He was born on October 31, 1999, in Eslöv, Sweden, to his parents, Mia Aberg and Johan Aberg. This young Swedish golfer began playing at the age of 8.
He has a total of 13 amateur wins, including the 2016 Galvin Green Junior Open, the 2017 Fairhaven Trophy, the 2019 Sun Bowl All-America Classic, and three The Prestige wins in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Furthermore, he also won the Valspar Collegiate in the same year.
In June 2023, Aberg became professional and made his first professional debut on the PGA Tour at the RBC Canadian Open. In September 2023, he recorded his first professional win at the 2023 Omega European Masters with two strokes against Alexander Björk on the European Tour.
He has a total of four professional wins, with the most recent win being at the 2023 RSM Classic, against Mackenzie Hughes by four strokes with a score of 253, under 29—his first PGA Tour win. At the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Aberg finished in solo second place, with a margin of a single stroke against Wyndham Clark, who won at the 54-hole event; it was shortened due to bad weather. Furthermore, at the 2024 Players Championship, he finished in solo eighth place, after which his OWGR is No. 9 as of April 2024.
