Born on May 24, 1989, Mark Hubbard attended Colorado Academy and later played golf for San Jose State University from 2007 to 2011. During his college career, Hubbard was a standout player, earning a First Team All-WAC honors in 2009, qualifying for the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship twice (2009 and 2011), and winning the WAC Championship Tournament in 2011. He turned professional in 2012.

In 2019, Hubbard earned his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour at the LECOM Suncoast Classic, where he shot a 26-under-par total of 262 to win by two strokes over Maverick McNealy. He also won the 2013 Wildfire Invitational on the PGA Tour Canada. Hubbard's best finish in a major championship was a T-51 at the 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. He has also competed in the 2023 PGA Championship, finishing 75th at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.
