Max Homa, an American professional golfer, was born on November 19, 1990. He plays on the PGA Tour. While in college, he won the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. He has six PGA Tour wins and nine overall to his name.

Homa had an outstanding amateur career; she advanced to the US Amateur quarterfinals in 2010 but lost to An Byeong-hun. After winning the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship and qualifying for the 2013 Walker Cup, he turned pro and won his first PGA event at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship.

Homa made his PGA Tour debut as a pro in October 2013, finishing T-9 at the Frys.com Open. In May 2014, he won his first professional match on the Web.com Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am. He qualified for the PGA Tour for the 2014–2015 season by finishing 17th on the Web.com Tour regular-season money list.

Homa successfully defended the Fortinet Championship in September 2022. He was selected to represent the United States in the 2022 Presidents Cup, and he won all four of his matches. Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2023. He overcame a two-shot deficit with a final round of six under par to defeat Keegan Bradley.

Moreover, Homa's 477-yard drive in the third round of The Sentry in January 2024 broke the record for the longest drive on the PGA Tour during the ShotLink era.

Subsequently, he pursued a degree in consumer behavior while playing golf on scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley. Homa was a second-team All-Pac-12, third-team PING Division I All-American, and PING Division I All-West Region player in 2011–12.

He was first-team All-Pac-12 and ranked No. 17 on the final Palmer Cup Ranking. As a senior in 2012–13, he won the Pac-12 Championship with an opening round nine-under par 61 that broke the course record at the North Course at Los Angeles Country Club and tied for the lowest round ever recorded in the United States.

He was also selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the All-Nicklaus Team and the first-team All-American.
