Who won the Maybank Championship in 2024?
The Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club will host the 2024 Maybank Championship from October 24–27, 2024, and so will be updated likewise.
In a nine-hole playoff between Atthaya Thitkul and Celine Boutier, which was also the second-longest playoff in LPGA Tour history, Boutier won the 2023 Maybank Championship, earning $450,000 as the winner's share from the purse of $3 million.
Boutier led the leaderboard after shooting her second 64 of the week at T8. She recorded eight birdies in her opening round at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club without making a bogey, including three consecutive ones on holes 3, 4, and 5, as well as holes 11, 12, and 13.
Late in the day, Boutier took the lead on her own and went into the 18th hole with a one-stroke advantage and a chance to extend it with a birdie. However, on Sunday, her birdie putt lipped out for what would turn out to be the first at the game. Playing one group behind, Thitikul made her birdie putt to force the playoff. Rose Zhang and Jasmine Suwannapura tied for third place.
Peiyun Chien was one of just four players to shoot all four rounds in the 60s and finished solo fifth, while Nelly Korda, Brooke Henderson, and Gemma Dryburgh, finished tied for sixth place. To complete the top ten, Megan Khang finished solo ninth and Gaby Lopez finished solo tenth.
