"My game is built for America"- Charley Hull details initial hesitation to play at 2024 Scottish Open

Golf's latest sensation, Charley Hull, eyes another victory at this week's ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open. The Olympian sits tied for second place with Lauren Coughlin with a 36-hole score of six under par.

The challenging Dundonald course in Ayrshire has pushed the players to their limits this week. In the past, Hull has said that she is not the biggest fan of links golf. However, the 28-year-old has grown to embrace the challenges that come with the courses and has gotten "used to it".

Here's what Hull had to say at the post-round press conference (via Asapsports):

" I think I'm actually getting more kind of used to it. I actually played on Monday, Turnberry, so that was a good challenge. And I think I'm just embracing it more. Like I do like links golf. I love links golf. But usually my game, I find it hard to play in, especially a tournament because I feel like my game is built for America. But the last few weeks, me and my coach have been working on doing more three-quarter swings so I can do a low ball flight for the British Open. So I think it is actually paying off. "

Having made her debut on the LPGA Tour in 2015, Charley Hull holds two victories to her name - 2016 CME Group Tour Championship and 2022 The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America. The Solhiem Cup star is eager to end her two-year drought this week in Scotland.
