Nelly Korda shows off her 'sleep game' by sharing unique 'year in review'

Nelly Korda recently gave fans a glimpse into her life off the golf course with a carousel post on Instagram.

The LPGA Tour superstar uses the WHOOP band to track her physical metrics, which help in improving performance. WHOOP released a "year in review" for the 26-year-old, recapping her various stages of rest through the year. According to the app, Korda slept 83 percent better than the average person. The deep sleep boosted her recovery up to 14.2 percent.

The Olympian has an average of 7.7 hours of sleep before each tournament victory on the LPGA Tour. She had five consecutive wins this year. The post,a collaboration between Korda and Whoop, was aptly captioned:

"Sleep streak = winning streak. 🏆"
"Is your sleep game this strong?"

In an exclusive interview with the company, the 2024 Chevron Championship winner talked about the role the WHOOP band has played in her historical career. She said (via Instagram @whoop):

"I think I've just gone through so much in life. I've gone through injuries. I've gone through a health scare. But the data that I've always gotten from WHOOP has been so crucial to my bounce backs. When it comes to recovery with my sleep or pushing myself in the gym, so I can be ready to go on the golf course has been been really crucial and such a great tool to have."

For a golfer who spends countless hours perfecting her skills, traveling continents, and enduring the mental and physical strain that comes with being a professional on the LPGA Tour, rest is not just a luxury but also a necessity. Korda knows when to step back from a busy schedule and recharge.
