The final tournament of the 2024 PGA Tour season, the Tour Championship, was won by Scottie Scheffler. He was on the top of his game throughout the year. He won seven tournaments on the tour including a Major and the Players Championship. But trophy wins is not the only category where Scheffler has stood out this year.
Scheffler also led the Tour on 10 other statistics. He had the most wins and the highest number of top-10 finishes, with 16 this year. Xander Schauffele has had 15 top-10 finishes this year.
The 28-year-old also had the highest official prize money, totaling $29,228,357. He also let the Tour in birdie average at 4.88 per round, which is significantly higher than the Tour average of 3.76. Here's a look at the 10 statistics in which Scottie Scheffler leads the tour:

Reflecting on his year after the PGA Tour Championship, Scheffler said (via ASAP Sports):
"It's been a great year. I’m proud of the results. It’s something I try not to focus too much on, but at the end of the day, being able to win tournaments is a great feeling, and it’s what we work towards, and to be able to have as many wins as I have this year is really special."
Scheffler also spoke about not being happy that the gold medal he won at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games isn't considered an official PGA Tour victory.
He said:
"Still don't understand why the Olympics doesn't count. That's a bit weird to me. I think that's part of the greed that goes on in your brain is you say seven, I'm like, I won eight. I won the Olympics in the middle of the year, and for some reason it doesn't count as an official PGA TOUR win."
Scheffler won the Olympic gold medal by one stroke over Tommy Fleetwood.
When will Scottie Scheffler play next?
Scottie Scheffler will next play at the 2024 Presidents Cup. The tournament will be held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from September 24 to 29, 2024.
Talking about the event in a press conference following his Tour Championship victory, he said (via ASAP Sports):
"It's been a long year. It's been a very fun year. I think emotionally right now I'm pretty drained. So I'm looking forward to going home and getting rest for a week or so before I start prepping for the Presidents Cup because that's a tournament that I really want us to go out there and win."
Scheffler has said that he'll take a break after the Presidents Cup. He only played the Hero World Challenge after the FedEx Cup finale last year.
