Hayden Springer shoots 59 at the 2024 John Deere Classic

During the first day of the 2024 John Deere Classic, Hayden Springer played a record-breaking round, shooting an impressive 12-under-59. This achievement added his name to the list of players who have carded the lowest rounds on the PGA Tour, as he is the 14th player on the circuit to score below 60.

At the TPC Deere Run, Springer carded an eagle on the par-5 second hole and then added four consecutive birdies. He shot two more birdies, on the eighth and ninth holes. On the back nine, Springer added two birdies and an eagle, finishing with a score of 12-under-59.

Speaking of his performance, Springer said (via SkySports):

"It is special to be able to do that. I played well last week but it has been a little bit tough to find anything and get stuff going and go low. It is special. It feels good to be standing here and to have had a good round of golf. I didn't actually think I could make that shot [on 17] but I did and that kind of changed the momentum."
