2023 Valspar Championship round 1 leaderboard explored 

The PGA Tour's Valspar Championship started with the inaugural round on Thursday, March 15, at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead course in Palm Harbor, Florida.

The four-day tournament successfully wrapped up with the first round with Adam Schenk, Stephen Jaeger, and Ryan Brehm taking the lead. The golfers ended up with a scoring deficit of five to finish at 66.

Having had an amazing start to the tournament, Schenk made two birdies on the first two holes. With a single bogey on the fourth hole, the American golfer sank six birdies in the first round of the Valspar Championship to top the leaderboard.

Joining him was Ryan Brehm, who also started the day with a birdie on the first hole. He made four birdies, a bogey, and an eagle to wrap it up at 5 par 66.

Stephen Jaeger also stole the limelight in the opening round of the 2023 Valspar Championship by scoring seven birdies and two bogeys. He finished with a score of 66.

Jordan Spieth is just one shot behind the leaders, securing fourth position alongside Lucan Glover and Maverick McNealy. Speaking about his performance, Jordan said:

"Feeling comfortable with the speed control and just overall with the putter, it allowed, even if I was missing them, I felt like I could play to cecentref greens and not attack pins. That’s a different place than I’ve been living as I’ve been trying to get better and better with the putter."
