Ayaka Furue spectacularly won the Amundi Evian Championship with an eagle on the 18th hole. The eagle helped her take a two-stroke lead over Stephanie Kyriacou, who had led for most of the round. Kyriacou didn't give up and looked to tie on the final hole, but eventually birdied to finish one stroke behind.
Furue, 24, earned her LPGA Tour card in 2022. Prior to winning the Amundi Evian Championship, her career-best finish was winning the 2022 Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open.
On the other hand, her runner-up finish at the Evian Resort is Kyriacou's career-best result. The Australian's best finish was a T4 at the 2023 Dana Open.
Meanwhile, World number one Nelly Korda played the fourth round with one eagle, five birdies and four bogeys (3 under). Her performance allowed her to climb 17 places on the leaderboard to finish T26.
