The first round of the 2024 Black Desert Championship was suspended at 9:04 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, October 10th due to darkness. Twenty-four players remain in contention and will resume at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday.
Adam Svensson leads the Black Desert Championship after carding a remarkable 11-under 60. The Canadian set the event record minutes after Henrik Norlander and Matt McCarthy shot 9-under 62s.

Adam Svensson's performance in the first round of the Black Desert Championship included an eagle and nine birdies (no bogeys). It is the lowest score of his PGA Tour career.
Henrik Norlander and Matt McCarthy are tied for second place, two shots behind Svensson. The Black Desert Championship is McCarthy's second start since earning his PGA Tour card. He won three Korn Ferry Tour events in 2024 to secure his promotion.
Jay Don Blake, the 65-year-old who received a sponsor's exemption for the Black Dessert Championship to mark his 500th career PGA Tour start, was left on the 16th hole when the round was suspended. He is 3-over with one birdie and four bogeys.
