The FedEx St. Jude Championship is here, which means the golf regular season has officially ended. As of Monday morning with the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship, only 70 golfers are still eligible to compete. They will begin competing on Thursday for the first week of the playoffs. Here's what you need to know, including the prize money, field, and more.


What is the prize purse for the FedEx St. Jude Championship?

The prize purse at the FedEx St. Jude Championship is rather lucrative. It is akin to Signature Events and Majors since it is the postseason play for the PGA Tour. As a result, there's $25 million up for grabs this weekend.

The winner will take home a nice payday of $3.6 million. Last year, that winner was Lucas Glover and it was the second of two straight wins for him. Here's how the rest of the payment breaks down:
