The ISCO Championship, previously known as the Barbasol Championship, is set to tee off on Thursday, July 11. The event, co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, will take place at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The tournament will see a 144-player field compete for the $4,000,000 prize purse.

The ISCO Championship is being played opposite of the co-sanctioned Scottish Open. Owing to this, the event will have a limited field with top names. Unlike the Scottish national event, the Kentucky event will have none of the top 50 Official World Golf Rankings listed players on the field.

Surprisingly, PGA Tour amateur Luke Clanton is the favorite to win the ISCO Championship this weekend. The 20-year-old comes into the competition with 14-1 odds, according to SportsLine. Coming off a T2 finish at the John Deere Classic, the young golfer is expected to make big moves at the Keene Trace Golf Club.

Clanton is followed by Michael Thorbjornsen, who also shared T2 last weekend at TPC Deere Run, on the odds list. The 22-year-old enters the competition with 18-1 odds. Another rookie Neal Shipley completes the top three. The 2001-born player has 40-1 odds.

The golfer, who played both the US Open and the Masters this season, shares the third position on the odds list with the likes of Daniel Berger, Alejandro Tosti, Michael Kim, and Mac Meissner.

J.J. Spaun (45-1), Hayden Springer (45-1), S.H. Kim (45-1) and Carson Young (45-1) are some other big names to watch this weekend. It is pertinent to note that the event’s reigning champion Vincent Norrman will not return to defend his title.
