2024 ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open field and LPGA player rankings explored

The 2024 ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open is set to begin on Thursday, August 15, at the Dundonald Links in Ayrshire, Scotland. It is the 20th event of the 2024 LPGA Tour schedule. The four-day event, sandwiched between the Paris Olympics and the AIG Women’s Open, will have some big names competing.

The Women’s Scottish Open will feature a 144-player field headlined by the likes of World No. 2 Lilia Vu, No. 4 Jin Young Ko, No. 7 Celine Boutier, No. 8 Ayaka Furue, No. 9 Rose Zhang and No. 11 Charley Hull, among others. The event will see 30 of the top 50 Rolex Women's World Golf Ranking players among the top contenders.

Notably, Olympic gold medalist and LPGA’s newest Hall of Fame inductee Lydia Ko will also compete this weekend. The 27-year-old, who became the youngest Hall of Famer last week, opted against skipping the event and is set to compete back-to-back in the Scottish Open and Women’s Open.

Germany’s Esther Henseleit, who won silver in Paris, will also compete in the event.

2024 ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open field

Ko will be joined by the likes of Minjee Lee, Ally Ewing, Patty Tavatanakit, Brooke Henderson, Megan Khang and Alison Lee, among others. Notably, World No. 1 Nelly Korda decided to sit the Women’s Scottish Open out, which falls just days ahead of the final Major of the season - the AIG Women's Open.

The golfers on the stacked field will compete for the $2,000,000 prize purse on offer, along with valuable ranking points.
