The 2024 Maybank Championship will be played on the West Course of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club from October 24-27. All the details are in place for the start of the event, including the groups and first round tee times.
One of the groups that will get the most attention from fans is that of defending champion Celine Boutier, who will be playing with Ayaka Furue and Esther Henseleit.
The Frenchwoman enters the Maybank Championship with top-10 finishes in her last two LPGA Tour starts, while the Japanese golfer won the Amundi Evian Championship and has nine other top-10s this year. The German, meanwhile, is coming off a season highlighted by her Olympic silver medal.
Another interesting group is the 2023 Maybank Championship runner-up Jeeno Thitikul, who will play alongside Jin Young Ko and Yuka Saso. Thitikul and Saso both have wins this season while Ko has six top-10 finishes, including four in the last six tournaments.
Hannah Green, a three-time winner in the 2024 season, will be joined by Ruoning Yin and Mao Saigo in the first round of the Maybank Championship. Yin has won two tournaments this season while Saigo is the favorite to win the LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year title.
