Keegan Bradley on the 2024 Presidents Cup: "That was incredible"
A year ago, Keegan Bradley was not selected by Zach Johnson for the 2023 Ryder Cup. This Sunday, Bradley delivered the winning point for the American team in the Presidents Cup.
To make the story even more Cinderella-like, it will be Bradley himself who will lead the American team at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in a year's time. It is very likely that most of the players who won the 2024 Presidents Cup will be playing under him.
Speaking about his experience at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, Bradley told the PGA Tour News Service:
"That was incredible. The last time I played, I was the point to lose the Ryder Cup. If this is my last round as a player — maybe it is — I'm happy with that. It's such an amazing atmosphere, I'm so proud of the team and proud to be here."
American captain Jim Furyk was full of praise for his players:
"These players were amazing. It was a really good group of 12, an easy bunch. I had great leadership at the top. They made the captain's job really easy, and these guys played their hearts out this week. They really played well on the back nine."
The event will return to American soil in 2026. It will be played at the historic Medinah Country Club, the site of the famous 2012 Ryder Cup, known as the 'Miracle at Medinah'.
