Day 1 of the 2024 Presidents Cup ended with Team USA taking a dominating 5-0 lead over the International side. Jim Furyk’s side pulled off the efficient clean sweep on Thursday, September 26, at The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec, Canada, with stellar performances from Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, and Keegan Bradley among others.

Day 2 of the Presidents Cup will begin at 1:05 pm ET on Friday, September 27. Following a mix-up in the pairings, Schauffle is set to tee off alongside Patrick Cantlay against Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im. The US pairing of Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa will follow suit at 1:19 pm. They will take on Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith.

Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler will enjoy a late tee-off at 2:01 pm. He remains teamed up with Russell Henley and will take on the pairing of Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An.

Max Homa returns to the playing field on Friday after spending Day 1 on the bench. He will play alongside Brian Harman against the pairing of Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Jason Day.

For the unversed, the matchup decisions for the 2024 Presidents Cup are made using the “snake draw” format. Furyk and Weir take turns setting their pairings for the fourballs matches. Owing to the limited slots, the two teams are forced to leave two players on the bench each day.

Sam Burns and Keegan Bradley are the two names on the bench for the US team on Friday while the Internationals have Tom Kim and Min Woo Lee on the sidelines.

Having undergone a humiliating series of results on Thursday in Canada, the International side will look for a strong comeback in the second round of matches.
