The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship is set to tee off on Thursday, October 3, at the Country Club of Jackson. The event will mark the resumption of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall schedule after the Presidents Cup.

The Mississippi event will feature regular names on the American circuit like Rickie Fowler, Keith Mitchell, Mackenzie Hughes, Gary Woodland, and Maverick McNealy competing for the $7,600,000 prize purse. Despite having a stacked field, the event’s most popular names are also the outright favorites.

Unsurprisingly, Hughes is the top favorite to win the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship. The Canadian golfer, who made his Presidents Cup debut last week, comes into the competition with 22-1 odds, according to CBS Sports. The World No.62 golfer is followed on the odds list by No. 89 Mitchell. The 32-year-old American enters the event with 25-1 odds.

Seamus Power (28-1), Ben Griffin (28-1), and McNealy (28-1) complete the top five on the PGA Tour event’s odds board.

It is pertinent to note that World No. 34 Nick Dunlap is the top-ranked player on the Sanderson Farms Championship field as several big-name golfers seem to have taken off after the Presidents Cup. However, the 20-year-old golfer sits seventh on the odds list with 30-1 odds alongside Patrick Rodgers.

Reigning champion Luke List also returns this weekend to defend his title. Interestingly, a successful title defense will make him the first golfer since Dwight Nevil (1973-74) to win this event in back-to-back years. He comes in with 50-1 odds.
