2024 Tour Championship: Odds and best bets explored

The 2024 Tour Championship will be held at the East Lake Golf Club from August 29 to September 1. The tournament will be the last leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs as the winner of the season-long race will be decided.

The field for the Tour Championship will only consist of the top 30 golfers from the FedEx Cup rankings. Scottie Scheffler is leading the pack with a 1200-point advantage over the rest of the field owing to his six wins on the PGA Tour.

Scheffler also enters the week with the best odds of winning, at +100 (via CBS Sports). Xander Schauffele, who is second in the rankings has odds of +220. Despite withdrawing from the BMW Championship, Hideki Matsuyama is still third in the rankings and also has the third-best odds of +1200.

Going into the Tour Championship, each golfer will also get a stroke advantage depending on their rankings in the FedEx Cup, which has been mentioned for each player. Following are the odds and best bets for all golfers in the field (via CBS Sports):

The prize purse for the 2024 FedEx Cup is $100 million. The winner will take home $25 million, while the runner up will get $12.5 million.
