Local hero Hideki Matsuyama leads the PGA Tour power rankings for the 2024 ZOZO Championship. The fifth FedExCup Fall event will be held at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Chiba, Japan from October 24 to 27.
The Japanese golfer comes to the ZOZO Championship after a seven-week break after the Tour Championship. The World No. 7 has a great record at the tournament. In 2021, Matsuyama won the tournament by five strokes over Brendan Steele and Cameron Tringale. He has also finished as a runner-up at the tournament in 2019.
Matsuyama has odds of +850, as per BetMGM Sportsbook. Further, he is in an exceptional form this season. In 19 starts, he has had two wins, seven top-10 finishes, and 11 top-25 finishes.
The 32-year-old won the 2024 Genesis Invitational by three strokes over Luke List and Will Zalatoris. He also won the first FedExCup playoff, FedEx St. Jude Championship by two strokes over Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland. In the last three starts, he has one win and two top-10 finishes.

In the last 10 starts, he has had five top-10 finishes and nine top-25 finishes. Morikawa comes to the tournament after a second finish at the Tour Championship.

Xander Schauffele, third on the list, comes to the ZOZO Championship after one win and four top-5 finishes in the last four starts. He has had 15 top-10 finishes this year. Further, he has a decent record at Narashino. He finished T9 in 2022 and T28 in 2021.
Sahith Theegala is fourth in the PGA Tour power rankings for the ZOZO Championship. He tied for fifth in 2022 and 19th last year. Further, he has had nine top-10 finishes this year and will be looking for his first victory this season.
Sungjae Im, Min Woo Lee, Beau Hossler, Kensei Hirata, and Tom Hoge, all have had top-10 finishes in past editions of the tournament. Im, fifth in the list, has had eight top-10 finishes this year. His best performance came at the Travelers Championship where he tied for third.
Further, Rico Hoey and Kurt Kitayama come from a top-10 finish at the TPC Summerlin and would like to continue their good performance in the tournament.
