The new Callaway drivers haven't gained many fans since their surprise New Year launch, but NBA star Stephen Curry has a different opinion. The golf equipment giant recently released the brand new Elyte and Elyte X drivers.

Curry is an avid golfer, even having participated in The Match once and several Korn Ferry Tour events. He has also taken part in promotional golf segments before and is an official brand ambassador for Callaway. The $240M-worth icon (via Celebrity Net Worth) did a short testing of the new Callaway drivers on Friday with Johnny Wunder.

The basketball legend hit some incredible shots with the driver and despite popular opinion, Curry quite liked the new releases. He appreciated the "club face control" that aids in getting the dispertion down "just a little bit".
